Meeting with Peng on 10-14

Main progress:
1.    Student has finished the draft of literature review (3200 words and 44 references)
2.    Student has collected sound samples and initially test the code of imm4399_jd

Agreed actions:
1.    Evaluate the existing code of sound separation based on developing rigid testing schema, e.g. a mixture of five sounds and three directions.
2.    Finish the literature review and prepare for the 2nd review.
3.    Consider the integration of decision support tools, e.g. decision trees, to inform risk assessment.

Meeting with Suwanon on 10-12

Main progress:
  1.  Student returned the 1st review feedback.
  2. Student has written 2000 words of literature review. 
Other comments:
  1.  Continue on the speech recognition toolbox. 
  2. We reviewed the progress in term of the reference.
Agreed actions:
  1. Strengthen the combination of technical feasibility and risk assessment on the product development, prototype risk, and cost in variance things. 
  2. Continue on the literature review.

Meeting with Peng on 30/09

Main Progress:
  1. Student received the feedback of the 1st review
  2. Regarding to the feedback, the objective of the project is not very clear and need to focus on one object.
  3. Students have started the literature review writing. He shows the structure of the literature review chapter.
Agreed Actions:
  1. Revise the TOR form according to the feedback of the 1st review. Clarify the objective and literature list.
  2. Continue the literature review and finished it in two weeks.
  3. Use jabref to manage reference and bibtex4word add-in for word2007. E.g. websearch function in IEEE, import citation from sciencedirect and insert reference in the word.
  4. Use audacity to manage/edit sound.
  5. Use wang's paper 'Two-Microphone Separation of Speech Mixtures' for sound separation purpose.
